30 Minutes or Less-

Starring: Jesse Eisenberg, Danny McBride, Aziz Ansari, Nick Swardson

Synopsis: Two fledgling criminals kidnap a pizza delivery guy, strap a bomb to his chest, and inform him that he has mere hours to rob a bank or else...

My Review:

30 Minutes or Less is a fast paced comedy that relies on sophomoric humor and violence to entertain its audience. Even though this is actually a pretty fun movie to watch, it is not very memorable. The plot is focused around putting normal (slightly less educated) people into extraordinary circumstances and watching everything unfold in a blur of violence, drugs, sex, and blowjob jokes. This is not a movie that you want to take very seriously and apply any amount of logic to, it is a comedy that is best enjoyed as you grab a bucket of popcorn and mindlessly watch the story unfold.

I thought that the casting was adequate for this type of movie, each of the main characters seemed to fit their roles and they were believable for the most part. The writing is flawed, and some of the jokes are just predictable and repetitive.

Overall I thought that this film was actually pretty fun to watch, but not something that would require a second viewing. It had a few funny parts along the way, and even added a bit of  thrilling moments but this movie is what it is...a film that relies solely on immature humor and bodily violence.
